雲南省では4000年前には製陶技術があり、その中の傣族(ダイ族)はその技術を包括的に保有しています。
足で蹴って回す「蹴ろくろ」を使用する方法は伝統的であり、緩急がつくことにより、人の手が感じられる不揃いで温かみのある器を作ることができます。
また、現代技術と融合しガス窯で1300度で焼くため、伝統的な風合いも残し、現代的な色彩も感じられます。独特な形状と模様が醸しだす古風な味わいとともに、生き生きとした力強さを感じる作品です。花瓶、装飾品として愛用されています。
工房はメコン川の流域であり、東南アジアの雰囲気も感じられます。
